You may have seen the movie, but there is so much more to Notting Hill.  This trendy area, famed for its annual carnival and weekly antiques market on Portabello Road, perfectly manicured communal gardens and crescents of stucco fronted houses, Notting Hill is the definition of Bohemian cool.  If you are there on Saturday, it's worth fighting through the crowds at Portabello Market.  Even if you don't find the bargain you are after, the eclectic characters working the stalls provide hours of the entertainment.
